McGinty’s Irish Bar

Conversion of Mist bar and nightclub into an authentic Irish-themed pub. North Yorkshire multiple operator, J&S Pub Company took on its fifth Star Pubs & Bars pub, transforming the wet-led high street pub into a quality traditional Irish pub. Harking back to days gone by, McGinty’s is far from the gimmicky Irish bars that were around 20-30 years ago. The selection of rustic exposed brick walls, distressed painted panelling and hand-painted murals provides a stylish Celtic look & feel.

Authentic green and burgundy leather booth-style seating, high button-back machinist bar stools and retro-styled wood and metal freestanding furniture provided a comfortable setting to watch sports & listen to the live folk bands. Outside, new signage, lighting and window planters together with a mural on the side elevation gave the pub more presence. New rustic-style furniture and festoon lighting in the courtyard beer garden were in keeping with the internal décor.
